Ebony Park has been created on the love of the friesian horse and is committed to demonstrating the amazing competition horse the modern friesian can be.

It began with rider Natasha Althoff purchasing a friesian cross thoroughbred for dressage. Since then the interest in Friesians continued until the start of 2005 where Natasha travelled to America to stay at Proud Meadows, leaders in America for breeding performance friesians and trained with Sabine Schut Kery who trained not only one but two pure bred friesians to grand prix.

This led her to travelling to Holland in September 2005 and purchasing two friesian stallions and a mare. They arrived in October 2005 and have been better then we could have ever imagined.

Since then we have imported another three purebred friesian mares, all in foal to stallions from Holland. At the beginning of 2009, we imported out fifth purebred friesian mare, Ebony Park Jantje, who was in foal to Norbert. She gave birth to a lovely colt (Dante of Ebony Park), who we will be keeping as a stallion to breed and compete, bringing new bloodlines into the friesian gene pool in Australia.

Ebony Park is committed to making breeding easy, effortless and straightforward for all mare owners. This is due to our dedication to making breeding a happy, easy time for you, where ultimately your mare comes out the other side pregnant!

The future looks bright for Ebony Park.

We expect both our stallions Ebony Park Abe and Ebony Park Jorrit will reach Grand Prix and will demonstrate the amazing ability friesians have for upper level dressage. We also plan to expand our breeding program, importing more quality purebred mares to breed with our stallions in order to produce more top class Friesians to create greater accessibility to quality Friesians within Austraila.
